Hope – “An optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one’s life or the world at large”

Hope – “The feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best”

As humans/spiritual beings; we often cling on to hope more than anything and we base our happiness on the outcome of our hope. How many times have you been sad about a situation and someone said to you ‘Lets ‘hope’ for the best. Hope without ‘Work’ is very futile; you can hope for a better tomorrow all day everyday and nothing will change without effort.

Hope is what keeps us going on the days we don’t feel like getting out of bed; as long as there is hope, there is the possibility that things will one day get better. Once we have substantial savings, once we get the love of our live back, once we get that promotion, once we start that business, once other people see our potential then things will get better. It is healthy to hope and be optimistic but what next? What active steps are you taking to get to your ‘hope’.

Hope is the procrastination of happiness; we accept that our happiness is tied to the things we hope for and in the absence of that we sit around gloomy fantasizing about a better tomorrow and how every other thing in our life will work out once we get what we are hoping for. We often spend too much time in this place called ‘Hope’ and not enough time in ‘Hard Work’. Your time will be much better spent in strategic thinking and active steps that lead you to your desires and not merely in hope.

While we are busy hoping, life is busy happening. Remember to evolve as you hope. Remember to put in action daily to creating your own reality. Don’t create a permanent place in your life for ‘hope’; it is only a fleeting emotion.

Hope Productively and Actively.
