THE PURSUIT OF INSPIRATION February 9, 2016 – Posted in: Everyday Living

As much as we need food for our physical body to enable us carry on our daily lives; i find that we need just as much soul food.
It’s easy to neglect our spirit and focus on fixing our body and barely getting by.
I realized recently that somewhere along the way i lost my essence; ‘essence meaning the intrinsic nature or indispensable quality of something, especially something abstract, that determines its character’. I lost my character and i had fallen into the systematic way of life, seeking self acceptance and validation in external forces out of my being. I had become a mechanical product of the factory of my environment; doing without question the mundane robotic tasks of the day to day life; not giving much and not demanding anything, content to be safe, devoid of expectations. Isn’t it ironic? I create an inspirational blog and then i lose my inspiration; life is made up of these little ironies i realize.

I choose to change my situation. Life is a sum of all the choices we make and the choices we don’t make. Have you ever woken up and missed yourself? Felt a deep longing for the person you used to be? I have just re-introduced my self to my being and I am going to take time getting to do little things that filly my spirit with essence and passion and i would love to document my journey and draw inspiration from everyone out there still on the self discovery journey.

My name is Nwando and i’m in Pursuit of Inspiration .
