I Hope You Have A Happy Weekend July 8, 2017 – Posted in: Life Stories

What are your plans to make this a happy weekend? It’s a very cloudy and rainy day in Lagos as it’s been all week. I did not achieve as much as I’d have liked to during the week so i attempted to get out and get some work done today regardless of the weather conditions but Lagos is officially flooded so one hour, annoying standstill traffic and several pedestrian cows (truly) later I’m back home.

It’s easy for me to complain about the rain and how it affects my productivity but I saw people on the streets that have now been displaced because of flood, photos of homes with equipment and furniture drenched in water and my heart goes out to each and everyone of them. This is not to downplay what anyone might be going through but I’ve come to realise that it could always be worse and I try to be there for people that have it worse off and in a weird way, that always makes me happier. If you’re reading this and you’ve been displaced by rain in any way and you think I can be of help, email me on info@thenwando.com

This picture of a man kayaking across Silverbird mall has gotten Nigerians upset and some extremists demanding his deportation for poor portrayal of Lagos, Nigeria, Africa but i think it’s a funny photo. What do you think? Also when did ‘woke’ people online lose their sense of humor?

Here’s another funny (unbelievable) photo lol

What are your plans for the weekend? I hope you surround yourself with love, light and pure undiluted laughter. I’m back home on my sofa with my little munchkin Cali, she’s a very needy 2 year old lhasa apso but she fills my days and she makes life less lonely.

Have a productive, chilled, happy weekend. Remember to do more of what makes you happy

Love x Light,

N.
